Jan 13th 2009 announced the launch date of the Knothole Island DLC for Fable II (hopefully we'll be lookging forward to more DLC). Its been 2 days since then and the reviews are coming in, I would like to believe that the majority of people are content and happy with the DLC. I know after my first play through of it I was quit pleased.
Today, after the beating I got, I've been playing Knothole Island and resting on the sofa at home. Got the Gargoyle Treasure and The Menace To Society achievement.
Xbox360fanboy is giving away a code for the DLC in their Fanswag Weekly. Follow the clear instructions on their page.
As spotted on our forums, Kotaku is reporting that a special rifle is to be found on Knothole Island. Spoiler alert, don't click the previous two links.
TeamXbox is sporting their review of Knothole Island. "Knothole Island is a great bit of downloadable content, not only for providing some fresh adventures but also fixing, or giving you the opportunity to fix some of the things you might have thought were wrong with the main game. If you're a fan of the game, you'll have to have it, and it's unlikely you'll be disappointed. Knothole Island is a great example of how good DLC can be."
Gameplanet.co.nz also posted a review (click this link) "The Fable II downloadable content is a must-have for anyone who was looking for a reason to pick up Fable II again. Three new quests, a range of new items and weapons, as well as some great augments make the experience worthwhile. It certainly could have been longer, as it will only give you two or three hours of gameplay, but hopefully there will be further DLC in the future."
